Stealing a few extra moments
Like a child wanting to sleep in
Stacking tenderness like Russian dolls
So that there are no more stingy kisses.

Returning to the basics of smiling
Leaving behind the worst pretenses
And playing the game where everything is possible
Believing that with love everything is easy.

Taking the postcard train together
To imagined places where nothing is unstable
To dream destinations where the sun shines
Where, I know, her eyes sparkle.
