I haven’t forgotten the thousands of nights
Nor the infinite myriads of our days
Nor the twinkle in her eyes when I laughed
Nor the warmth of her voice when she called me
Nor the spontaneity of our ways
Nor the scent of her nape, nor her morning smell

For all these little things so extraordinary
I could never hate her body and soul
And sometimes still love her body and being

And has she forgotten? Unfortunately, I think not
Hence the ironic drama of our situation!
