Every morning before I open my eyes, I see you
You’re happy, you’re looking at me
I can distinctly hear the inflections in your voice
As you softly whisper Good morning.

The room may be different, as may be the weather
But I always feel good with you
Because wherever you are is where I belong
For happiness, all I have to do is reach out.

Then I open my eyes, and you’re not there
An unreal strangeness that hits me every time
So I wish I could live in my sleep
So you’d always be there before I wake up.
