They were you, I loved them
They were mine, the perfect friend
But then they became too big

They hid your qualities
Like a dry shadow
Withering the honor of the Cid
Bringing my detested anger.

Before, your faults were charming
They made me laugh so often
I adored your bad faith
Before it destroyed you and me
That was when you were wise
Before you became so flighty
Your faults made you beautiful
They made you real
I couldn’t give them any other name
Than the one of cute.
